Artists are sometimes known for procrastination. Surprise. I always swore that the pressure of immanent deadlines helped me perform better…aka, I forgot that project existed until about an hour before bedtime! ;) So when the clock strikes midnight and you’re still up working on some crazy project, this mug would be the perfect companion! Fill up this little night owl with some Italian espresso, a smooth Sumatra blend, or some tangy Red Bull and find your second wind! Or third wind. Or fourth.

The swatches of Spring are full of life and beauty! These colors look good enough to eat ;) It is a great exercise to train your eyes to see the swatches of color in your every day life. I was inspired over breakfast recently by my chartreuse watch, coral napkin, and cream colored mug! What colors do you see? Take note of the unique combinations and then come paint them on one of our pieces here at the studio!

On April 1st, 1998, You Do the Dishes opened its doors for the very first time. Now, 14 years later, the doors are still open, the kilns are still blazing, and the coffee is still brewing!  We are so thankful for our customers and their faithful creativity that has kept us going for all of these years!  We would love for you to join us in celebrating our anniversary on Sunday, April 1st.  In gratitude for all of our wonderful customers, paint time will be FREE from 1-10pm!

A favorite quote of mine, especially during this birds-chirping-flowers-blooming season, comes from the eloquent Ralph Waldo Emerson.  “Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air.”  This quote would be a wonderful reminder painted on a plate, mug, or vase for the Spring! Reminding you every morning to soak up this lovely weather before the summer sauna hits!
